Evictions Through Zoom Calls

Amid the pandemic, renters are often protected from eviction; but the rules are complicated and vary widely across the country. In some states, these protections are expiring and courts are holding remote hearings for people who can not afford to pay their rent. Experts worry that the virtual hearings may deny citizens their right to due process, with merely the inability to connect to a call.
