Tuberculosis kills approximately 1.5 million individuals yearly. During the coronavirus pandemic, the threat and danger of tuberculosis have been somewhat cast to the shadows in comparison to COVID-19, thus increasing the potential threat of tuberculosis. Additionally, COVID-19 measures such as lockdowns have made it difficult for some individuals to travel in order to receive tuberculosis related aid in response to this disruption of services.
